Temecula Constitution Class: After Supremacy, Bill of Rights

Instructor: Douglas V. Gibbs

Under the American System, we have natural rights. As articulated in the Declaration of Independence, our rights are self-evident, and unalienable. Unalienable means they cannot be separated from us. Our rights belong to us for the mere reason that we exist. So how is it that we are giving them away, and they are being taken away?

If our rights are unalienable, how is it that we are allowing the federal government, and the States, to stomp all over our rights?

The Constitution is the Solution, but first we must understand what was intended to understand the solution. . . and on Tuesday Night we will be briefly discussing ratification as presented by Article VII., and then begin a new study regarding the Bill of Rights - the First Ten Amendments to the United States Constitution.

Before we tackle the First Amendment, however, we will talk about the creation of the Bill of Rights, why the Bill of Rights were written, and a dangerous proposition known as the Incorporation of the Bill of Rights to the States.

When and Where?

Thursday Night at 6:30 pm - Temecula: Faith Armory, 41669 Winchester Road, Temecula, CA
