Hurricanes Slam Bermuda and Hawaii

By Douglas V. Gibbs

As hurricanes churn in both the Atlantic Ocean, and the Pacific Ocean, I am sure the liberal left is preparing statements about how the storms are the result of the man-made global warming hoax.

Put away your SUV, it's hurting people!

Hurricane Gonzalo slammed into Bermuda with full force while passing over the small British island territory.  Bermuda is dark, with mass electricity outages, as well as a large share of property damage, blocked roads, and flooding.  Shockingly, no deaths have been reported.

After doing its bidding with Bermuda, Gonzalo turned north, and is headed towards Newfoundland, Canada.

In the Pacific, Hurricane Ana approached Hawaii.  As Ana gets close, it is becoming a raging hurricane, but will probably stay far enough away that folks were still able to enjoy their vacations. Though Ana's path is not set in stone, Ana is expected to pass 115 miles southwest of the Big Island on Friday night, and to keep the same distance as it passes the rest of the Hawaiian islands over the weekend.

The Big Island is expecting heavy rainfall, and Oahu is preparing for possible flooding from the storm surge.

Another storm in the Pacific hit Acapulco, Mexico.  Trudy has remained a tropical storm, making landfall 75 miles away from the Mexican tourist trap.  Heavy rains are expected, with 45 mph winds.
