FBI's Comey: Americans Should Be 'Deeply Skeptical' Of Government

by JASmius

Before I share the following quote, and I want everybody to understand something, and understand it with crystal clarity: This is an Obama Regime capo who is saying this:

Americans should be "deeply skeptical" of government power, says FBI Director James Comey, adding that law enforcement should be able to access someone's telephone only with a court order.

"I believe that Americans should be deeply skeptical of government power," Comey told CBS News' Scott Pelley in an interview for "60 Minutes" that will air on Sunday. "You cannot trust people in power.

"The Founders knew that," he said. "That’s why they divided power among three branches, to set interest against interest." [emphases added]

I read that quote, and my mouth opened and closed several times without anything coming out.  Kind of like Edward Snowden did in in Citizen Four.  I haven't been this non-plussedly stunned since my aunt called me over three years ago to inform me that my mother had died.  Not out of any surprise that such blinding audacity, such thermonuclear BS could come out of any member of this Marxist-Alinskyist cabal, but....well, you know how a committed, monogamous husband has seen his wife naked pretty much every day for all the years they've been married, but she still never fails to turn him on?  It's not that he's surprised by her beauty and sex appeal, but it still has the same affect that it did on their wedding night.  That, sans erection, was my reaction to Director Comey.

I don't even care about anything else he said (which was forgettable).  This comment alone ought to get him either the Golden Turd award or a pink slip for having a momentary lapse of Republican common sense.

But then, as Bill Cosby used to say, "I told you that story to tell you this one":

Qatar's continued ties with some of the most powerful Islamist groups in the Middle East could cause serious difficulties for the Obama administration's international coalition to fight the Islamic State (ISIS), U.S. and Arab officials believe.

"Could," folks.  Qatar's alliance with ISIS "could" cause "serious difficulties" for The One's "international coalition" to "fight the Islamic State".

Good thing he isn't really fighting them, huh?

The wealthy nation has links with Nusra Front, which is the main al Qaeda affiliate in Syria, reports the Wall Street Journal, in addition to Hamas and the Taliban, and diplomats from Washington's closest Arab allies say Qatar is publicly supporting U.S. policies while still aiding its enemies.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan have all been pushing Washington to reprimand Qatar over the relationships, but the country is considered a vital part of anti-ISIS efforts. Its al-Udeid Air Base is being used to launch airstrikes on ISIS targets in Syria and Iraq, and the country is one of five that are formally taking part in the coalition against the militants. [emphasis added]

We have a more-or-less open turncoat in Red Barry's "coalition of the invisible," and they're the only member of this "grand alliance" that is considered by the Obama Regime to be "vital".  Do we even have to ask why that is?

And remember, to what Persian Gulf emirate were the Taliban Five released back in June, which broke their agreement to hold them for a year and turned them lose to take top ISIS command posts in Syria?  If you guessed "Qatar," you would be our next winner.

Now here comes the "but"....:

But at the same time, the U.S. Treasury alleges Qatar has been sending money to Islamist terrorists, including ISIS. For example, officials said that one wealthy Qatari last year sent $2 million to a senior ISIS commander tasked with recruiting foreigners to fight with the militants.

The allies are also warning that the coalition against ISIS is at risk of splitting apart unless members can commit equally to combating the organization. Middle Eastern countries are deeply split over the role of Islam in the region, with Qatar and Turkey supporting Islamist movements while traditional Arab monarchies in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, and Amman continue.

Unless financial and diplomatic ties to terror groups are cut, the allies say, the coalition to defeat ISIS will fail. Further, they pointed out, Qatar has used its planes for surveillance, but has not yet launched airstrikes at the jihadists.

It should not surprise any of y'all to learn that Turkey is also considered to be a "vital part" of the Obama Regime's "anti-ISIS efforts".  The same Turkey that is in more or less open cahoots with the Islamic State and seeks to regain the role it had 91 years ago as the seat and capital of the Global Islamic Caliphate.

And what is the Regime's professed justification for designating Turkey and Qatar as its chief allies in the War Of Show?:

[Commissar John] Kerry and other State [Commissariat] officials, though, say Qatar and Turkey are the only Middle East nations with enough leverage to pressure [insert jihadist group name here].

And just think, purple penguins: They actually expect us to believe that.

James Comey was more right than he ever imagined, no matter what he was actually trying to say.
