At last, something that will prompt Barack Obama to declare DEFCON-1:
Barack Obama was rejected by several New York golf courses over Labor Day weekend, according to NBC News.
A number of sources told the network that top golf courses in the Westchester area turned down requests by the president's team for Obama to tee off on Saturday, Aug. 30. The clubs include Trump National Golf Club, the Winged Foot, and Willow Ridge.
Club managers, who were approached just a day or two before the requested visit, allegedly did not want to inconvenience their members by shutting down the club to accommodate the president.
Oh. My. GOD. Have these clubs lost their freaking minds? Are they the "new Augustas"? If they weren't before, they sure as hell will be now. I would be astounded if Eric Holder doesn't slap them all with federal civil rights lawsuits before the week is out, accompanied by mass IRS audits against all of their principals. It is all but physical suicide.
All of that said, it does have a "We've got nothing more to lose, you've taken it all anyway, so screw you, Barry" feel about it. Good thing for O he's past his final election and now has sufficient power - as in all of it - to where he doesn't need popularity anymore. Still, Galaga season is right around the corner.
