ISIS is here, be it by crossing the border, or encouraging American Muslims to join their ranks, either as lone wolves, or by active members of the organization. In upstate New York, an American jihadist for ISIS has been detained for allegedly trying to recruit fighters for the Islamic State, paying for their travel and even buying guns.
According to Fox News, Mufid Elfgeeh, 30, of Rochester, was indicted by a federal grand jury on three counts of attempting to provide material support and resources to ISIS. Elfgeeh, who was born in Yemen and is a naturalized U.S. citizen, is one of the first people accused by the U.S. of recruiting on behalf of ISIS.
"As this case shows, our agents and prosecutors are using all the investigative tools at our disposal to break up these plots before individuals can put their plans into action," said Attorney General Eric Holder in a statement. "We are focused on breaking up these activities on the front end, before supporters of ISIL [another name for ISIS and IS] can make good on plans to travel to the region or recruit sympathizers to this cause."
Muslims are seeing the Islamic State as the manifestation of what has been predicted by Muhammad. Chaos must ensue of the an Islamic Caliphate is going to emerge. While we spend our time separating Muslims among the factions, be it Sunnis or Shias, Muslim Brotherhood or al Qaeda, we forget that in the end they all hate the infidels, desire pushing Israel into the sea, and destroying Western Nations.
As we have seen, thousands of western jihadists, mostly from Europe, have flocked to Syria and Iraq to join the Islamic State. The number includes American Muslims. They believe that the Islamic State is the effort that will usher in a caliphate, and serve as the spark for worldwide jihad.
The enemy is among us, be it at the border, crossing the border, or living next door as an American citizen.
Remember, this will be politicized by the Left to try and protect their narrative. The rise of the Islamic State, which has been encouraged by the failed foreign policy of the Obama administration, and birthed through the support of the Syrian rebels that the Obama administration has been arming and funding, and by pulling out of Iraq in the manner he did leaving nothing to stand against a growing al Qaeda threat, was created by the Obama administration. However, as the Democrats have been doing with every failure they commit, according to the Left, it's all Bush's fault.
Barack Obama may actually be looking forward to this war. Historically, a good war tends to increase a president's approval ratings, and Obama's approval rating has been tanking. His ship is sinking, and he needs something, anything, to save the mid-term election, and to keep the republicans out of the White House after 2016. But how does one fight a war without really fighting it, yet keep Americans from realizing it?
