Neil Abercrombie Creamed In Hawaiian Gubernatorial Primary

by JASmius

Democrats panic as they see Hawaiian Governor, and Obama's friend Neil Abercrombie loose the primary last Saturday to an unknown State Senator David Ige. It was the first primary election in the state's history to see an incumbent lose, and Abercrombie lost badly.

From Fox News

Despite his 20 years in Congress -- and multiple terms in the statehouse and Honolulu City Council -- voters in Hawaii delivered a staggering defeat Saturday to incumbent Democratic Governor Neil Abercrombie.

The primary defeat was a first for a sitting governor in the state and revealed voter dissatisfaction over a host of decisions -- and was also tied to some Democratic Party drama regarding the state's Senate race.

Against a virtually unknown state senator, David Ige, Abercrombie received just 32 percent of the vote.

"Every waking breath that I've taken, every thought that I had before I slept was for Hawaii," Abercrombie said in his concession speech. "It was for you."

According to Video report not a lot of voters agreed about Abercrombie unless you were in the majority..

With 99% of the precincts reporting, Ige had received 67.4% of the vote to 31.5% for Abercrombie.

Perhaps Neil should not have had Obama campaign for him.
