Obama to "Act on his own to address immigration problems"

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The heartstrings are tugged by an article where a mother in Utah is not being deported, it is being delayed, in the hopes she can stay in the country long enough, after savior Obama swoops in to save her "in the wake of his announcement that he'll act on his own to address immigration problems."

Act on his own.

First of all, in Murrieta, California, the federal government is forcing its will on a city that does not want their border patrol station processing, and releasing into the local community, hundreds of illegal immigrants per week.  As a border patrol agent recently stated, Obama is "aiding, abetting, and facilitating" the massive wave of illegal immigrants into this country.  The federal government is acting as a tyranny, forcing its will upon the country, and since Congress won't play along, Obama plans to act without them.

Article 4, Section 4 of the United States Constitution states that the federal government "shall protect each of them [the States] against invasion."

Invasion can be defined as an "unwanted encroachment."

As per Article I, Section 8, Clause 17, the Congress shall have the power "to make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested in this Constitution."

In order to protect the States from invasion, it is necessary and proper to secure the border.

Article II, Section 3 tasks the federal government, and more specifically, the President, to "take care that the laws be faithfully executed."

He has to, according to the Constitution, execute the immigration laws on the books, secure the border, and protect the States from invasion.  It is not a choice Obama can make.  He can't decide to ignore the law.  He is acting against the law of the nation if he does that.  He is not an all powerful king.

Article I, Section 9 indicates that the Congress can pass legislation prohibiting such persons, but it does not say they can force a State, or a city, to accept illegally immigrated persons.

And finally, about that quip by Obama that he'll act without Congress, Article I, Section 1 states that "All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States."

President Obama acts lawlessly every time he acts without Congress on issues that must be legislated.

This is federal tyranny.  This is the federal government forcing its lawless agenda upon States, cities, and people.  And with the addition of federal agents doing what they can to force the protesters aside so that the buses can get through, this is the federal government forcing its will upon We the People, even if it has to beat us down.

This is about freedom.
